The Corporate Stoner

Do you remember being a small kid, only reaching to the hip of the giant adults around? This pair of pants belongs to one of those giants, namely someone who works in a big denim-corporation and does their thing somewhat correctly at work. At home, they watch an illegally downloaded TV series while rolling a joint, and change outfits to their softest and patchiest jeans made from the scraps of the unsold parts of their employer. Everything that this giant does is with consideration for economic measures, not because they want to, but because they have to.

At the show The Corporate Stoner in Gallery Quartair The Hague in 2021 we had a chance to gaze upon the jeans.
